Q magazine have used statements from the band and placed them
in the article about the band.
There is a very noticeable
section at the bottom of the article there is a highlighted out of context
quotation that will attract the readers as it’s a very odd controversial
statement “some of the guys look like
they sleep with men for money" by Gerard
Way. The photograph Q Magazine
have chosen to use in this article shows the group to be an strong and to suit
the genre My Chemical Romance are,
they are perceived as the punk rock rebels with their sunglasses on, the
leather jackets, their facial expressions and even the man on the far right has
a plastic gun in a holster strapped round him.
The Dominant colours in the
magazine are red because it matches with the institutions theme colours which
are red. There is also in small print the web address for Q magazine even though it I small it’s still advertising it’s self
in every way possible.
Intuitions:
Q Magazine is a music magazine
published monthly in the United Kingdom. It is own by a Bauer Media Group
magazine is using advertising to promote their other media platforms like the
website is using print to promote their E-media. Q are representing themselves
as the rock oriented magazine they are.
Representation:
Q has represented My Chemical
Romance to be rebellious, passionate and determined.
